This black colored 386 laptop boots up, but needs a Flash Bios upgrade atleast that's what the error message says when I boot it up. It's got a working small mouse and the modem works. Keyboard works too. Monitor screen obviously works. I have the original foam covered box it came with. Had Windows 3.1 before I formatted the hard drive.

It freezes after a minute and I can't type anything under DOS.

Well, I was hoping to get $50 out of it minus shipping unless you want to pick it up in San Francisco ;-)

Oh yeah, when a friend of mine's gave it to me, it had Windows 3.1, but I reformatted the HD because I wanted just DOS on it. Bad move on my part ;-)

At least nobody wants to pay for it... ;-)

BTW, I don't think it needs a BIOS update; what it probably needs is a new CMOS battery. Try leaving it plugged in for a day and then try booting it up a couple of times; it might just need a charge.

Hope that's the camera out of focus and not the screen...

It's a nice looking machine, and I'm sure not much is wrong with it. I'd make an offer but I have plenty of laptops already (and I have one similar to this). Are any more ram upgrades available? What kinds of ports does it have? Come one, man, *SELL* it to us! :)

5 and change?

The shipping cost more than that.

Give me a day or so to figure out if I can get a battery for it, and I'll get back to you. Not that I need a machine, but I hate to see it go to scrap, and I really like that keyboard style: not pad.

Actually, it doesn't have a port! The only ports are for a modem/phone line only.

I'm doing that right now. I hope it works.

That's not uncommon for the smaller sub-notebooks. It probably does have some kinda connector for a docking station tho, right?

It doesn't :|

I don't see anything on this laptop that shows it will connect with a docking station.

Sorry, I don't want to separate the mouse from the laptop.

Hmm...that's too bad. I don't need network or USB or anything like that, but a parallel port, a serial port and a keyboard port are necessities for me. It's an odd little device, not to have any external access...
