I have been scouring the internet for a Commodore PET. Aside from digging through the garbage of the local school district for an old one, does anybody know where one can be had?

They show up on eBay regularly, if you're willing to pay for them.

Other then that, keep tracking the newsgroups and discussion areas and one is bound to turn up.

Good luck!

Erik

Thanks. I will keep an eye out on ebay. In the meantime, if anyone gets a hold of a pet (working or not) and can part with it, Let me know. Thanks.

Where in the world do you live? I just read that someone in London, UK is forced by wife to get rid of his two PETs in unknown working condition. He wrote that they are free to anyone picking them up. Reply public or private if you want to know more.

I am in the U.S. New York. Oh well. Any idea how I could get in touch with this guy? Maybe I could take a vacation soon or convince him to ship it...cheap.... :) Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Since the owner posted on a mailing list, I'm afraid someone else may have volunteered to take care of his PETs, but I can send him a message anyway.

Update: He was not too keen about the idea with overseas transport of computers who already are in an unknown condition. He also had someone more local who had offered to "help".

"If you are mobojen, click the Continue button to pay now."

Congratulations then. You seemed to get some last minute competition, but $50 should still be a good price, in particular when you were eager to get one.

I won the auction and will soon be the proud owner of a Commodore PET. Thanks for all your help.
