Hi everyone :)

I'm looking for some old Compaq Portable (LOL) PCs. These were sometimes called "luggables" because they were actually as big as a luggage ;) I was wondering if anyone of you has one and wants to get rid of it. I'm looking for the following models:

Compaq Portable - the first in the series! This one has an 8088 processor, two 5.25'' floppy drives, CGA card and monochrome display built-in. The "Portable Plus" model is the same machine but has only one 5.25'' drive and a 10-Meg hard disk.

Compaq Portable 286 - as far as I know it looks exactly the same as the original Portable but actually has an 80286 CPU instead of the 8088.

Compaq Portable II - same as the Portable 286 but comes in a smaller and lighter case.

IBM Portable 5155 - I had forgotten to include this one! :) This is the one that started it all :)

If you have any other models not listed in here, let me know anyway. I might be interested in those too!

In case you want to sell yours, just drop me a message with an offer :)

Thank you :)

Would make it easier if we knew where you were.

I have both Portable, and Portable II.
I am in Florida

I agree with Sharkonwheels, it would be easier if we knew where you were located. I have a Compaq Portable II with dual 5 1/4 floppy drives. I'm in Pennsylvania.

You are right, LOL... sorry guys ;)

I'm from Italy but right now I'm in State College, PA, spending Christmas with my sister! :D

If you guys are truly willing to part with your beloved luggables, just tell me how much you are asking for them and I'll do my best to work with you :) Thank you so much again :)

I know it's been awhile since you originally posted but I am wondering if you are still looking.

I have a 1980's compaq II still nestled snuggly in it's carrying case if you are interested. I'm in Northern Virginia.
