One day, before I die, I need to get out there with a nice .45 like that Kimber and see if I can hit anything. Last time I tried a .45 I could barely hit a large bush about 20 feet away. I don't remember how much effort I put into aiming. About all I do remember is that I wasn't doing very well. I guess those Sears' .22 rifles with a cheap scope tend to spoil you. I was used to hitting tops of glass bottles and such.

Oh, NEVER NEVER fire a .22 at a old tire lying on the ground!! I had a nice "long rifle" round go whizzing by my ear as it bounced back my way off the tire. "Uh, gee, that was kinda stupid!" I thought to myself.

Ooo Kimber, nice. Last time I was at the range I fired a friends Kimber, can't remember what model though but I was 2 shots off a perfect score. I'd like to get my hands on an H&K myself >.>

The Kimbers are nice .45's, nicely optioned (match grade slide, frame, barrel, trigger, commander hammer) at a decent price. Only thing I don't like, is the MIM injection molding, but most companies do that, as it's cheap, and fast.
Even Colt is doing that.

Took out my Yugoslavian SKS M59/66 shooting tonight (7.62x39, ie, "AK Round") and that thing shoot NIIIIICE! Pretty good for a 50yo implement of war!

SKS M59/66, nice. 7.62x39 wise, I'd love to get my paws on an SVD Dragunov. Saw one once but but those are hard to find.

Tony,

Does the NIB PDD2 work or has the belt on it rotted away also?

the NIB unit works fine. I'd still advise getting a belt or two from club100.org or whoever, as who knows when that source will dry up.

The NIB unit I tested on M100 M102 and an NEC PC-8201a, and worked fine in all three instances. Was able to format and copy disks, and on the M10x series was able to boot off the factory utility disk.
