I've got a pair of 5160 with half height hard drives in them so there is a big hole above the drives. I remember back in the day we had black filler panels that would snap into place over the hole and look nice.

They're similar to the kind for any other case, but they had 4 fingers (one on each corner) designed to snap into place holding onto the metal chassis itself and not the lid/front cover.

Digging through my stuff I don't seem to have any left.

Does anyone have any spares they could sell me?

In a box of about 70 or 80 of 'em I've got exactly one of the ones you describe ;-\
You wouldn't consider painting one or two? I've got lots of beige ones...

PM me; I've found a couple of monitors still in their original boxes that might not be *too* much of a PITA to ship, if you can afford it.

One trick I found to get around the hole is to get a full height panel for a half heigh hard disk. If your drive is a seagate then finding such a panel might not be as difficult as with other brands.

I don't even have any full height panels, unless I take one from a 600 meg Fujitsu ESDI drive I have.

I think my nice 5160 has a Miniscribe 3650 with the 1/2 cover.

My beat up 5160 has the Rodine 20 meg FH drive that came in the 5170, so no cover panel for that.
