anti virus cant detect???

I put my flash disk with new files from my friends computer.
The problem here: why there are viruses penetrate to my system even I
already installed updated anti virus?? What is the problem???:confused:

...Have you tried running the virus program? Furthermore, your computer must be quite old to qualify for vintage. What kind of mods did you do to...
