The Sol20 has always been on my desired list but the
Bell Speach kit is worth fighting for.
I put one of these together when I was in the 8th grade.
I still have mine, missing one transistor.

I also did the Bell solar cell kit. It came with all kinds
of nasty chemicals but some I had to get from the science
teacher. I don't know why they would let me buy a bottle
of reagent grade nitric acid.
It came with a simple oscillator that I've long since lost.
I used it to power a 1 transistor radio once as well.
