You're sure it takes a normal S370 chip? It's kinda rare to see those in laptops, usually they're either MMC cards or the special mobile socket.

Anyhow, Starmicro has them fairly cheap, if you can't find one anywhere else.

Yes it is a normal socket 370. I took it apart the other day because I need to replace the power socket and it is just a normal celeron 700 in a socket 370 (one of the few laptops that used that socket). The Amrada 110 could go from a base celeron 700 to a p3 1ghz as long as you used a 66 or 100 FSB (celeron and p3).

I have a couple P3 but they are the more common 133 FSB models.

How is this even remotely vintage? Shouldn't this be in the "Off Topic" section?

Just asking...

I just stuck it in the marketplace, sorry if it is in the wrong spot.

I have to admit I learned something today, I could have SWORN that the p3's stopped @ 850 with the 100mhz fsb.

Off topic, but how old does something have to be considered vintage here?

Most people I know consider computer parts older than 10 years to be vintage. Personally if its 15 years old, its vintage to me, but I am just a young whipper snapper barely old enough to remember how the internet was in the DOS age.

Generally, this forum seems to be applicable when, in the Intel world, you're looking for or selling something that's 486 or earlier.

There's an "off topic" marketplace for non-vintage stuff here for non-vintage items.

Now, if you were on the classic computer list, anything that runs Windows seems to be off-topic (or at least it's been that way for awhile).
